This family estate has been run by brothers
Philipp und Julian Hof since 2010.
Their estate has 22 hectares of vineyards,
including the Klingen top site of Herrenpfad,
where they grow Riesling, Pinot varieties,
Chardonnay, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.
“Our particular focus, however, is on
dry Muskateller,” Philipp Hof reports. But it is
above all the red wines that impress in the
range of wines presented, especially the Spätburgunder
with its finesse, the Merlot with its
beautiful depth of fruit or the powerfully collated
Cabernet Sauvignon.

Chardonnay trocken
Initially pineapple on the nose, then yellow apple and ripe mirabelle
plum, mango, subtle spice. Powerfully built on the
palate with lots of volume, sweet extract, bags of spice and
fruit are supported by the ripe acid structure. Creamy on the
mid-palate, stays long on the finish. 13,5 Vol.-%. screwcap, €€
fruit and good balance, clearly defined, powerful outline, ripe
tannins, notes of bitter chocolate and elderberry. Lovely tartness

Grauer Burgunder trocken
Deep yellow with reddish tints. Ripe pear on the powerful
nose, caramelised walnuts, spicy wood notes. Strong structure
on the palate, showing a lot of substance, juice, creaminess
and spice. The ripe acidity supports the full body, dry

Blackberry and plum on the nose, wood spice, herbs and
roasted coffee beans. On the palate there is clear fruit and
sweetish extract and a light cinnamon note. The vivid and
well integrated acidity provides freshness. Powerful construction,

On the nose cassis and black cherry, spicy notes, tobacco,
clove and blackberry. On the palate there is beautiful clear

On the nose fruits of the forest, cherries, mint and eucalyptus
and a light wood note. Powerful structure and good
freshness on the palate with a vivid acid structure, ripe red
cherries. The tannins are ripe and fine-grained; shows substance
