simply is an exquisite range that Eva Clüsserath-Wittmann
presented from her five hectares
of steep sites around Trittenheim – knowingly
playing to the various strengths of Riesling:
from animating, slate-spicy and profound
to the tension-laden and delicious nobility of
the Auslese from the Trittenheimer Apotheke
site. This is world-class!

Closed nose with some yeasty aromas, citrus fruit, herbs and
hot stone. On the palate there is ripe, sweet stone fruit, tight
traction, good density and concentration in a lean format
with a defined minerality. Will develop well and for a long

Riesling Auslese
Clear, medium yellow. On the nose blossom honey, candied
orange, herbal spice and hot stone nuances. On the palate
tension and raciness, sweet lime juice, mineral tension, density;
powerful but full of elegance. Great length, great potential,

Primary fruit not very obvious, but scents of fine wood savouriness
and lots of spicy slate nuances, with hints of peach
and apple and citrus notes. At first juicy, soft and with preserved
lemon on the palate, then good density with phenolic
layering and mineral penetration. 11,5 Vol.-%. cork, €€

Riesling Kabinett
Clear, pale yellow with light greenish reflections. On the
nose herbaceous spice, lime zest and crushed rock. On the
palate tension, spice and balance, ripe citrus fruits, poised by
fine minerality, good structure and length. Excellent.

Apple, linden blossom, mirabelle plums and fine wood
notes. On the palate, slenderly composed, with excellent
clarity and straightness, juicy, super-slender laser concentration
and yet intense and fresh with preserved lemon astringency
and a slate mineral finish. Very drinkable! Wow!
