This rather young estate – founded in
2010 and taken over by Markus
Brandt, the next generation, in 2017 –
presented great proof of its abilities with its
range of wines. The Riesling from the Rheinhessen
part of the Zeller valley pleases with its
finely-woven and mineral freshness; the white
Pinots show real measure when it comes to
maturation in wood. The Pinot-Rosé-Sekt
convinces with its textured feel and clarity.
Last but not least, Markus Brandt also shows
ambition when it comes to aromatic grape varieties
and nobly sweet wines. A totally successful
debut in this guide.

Herrgott Riesling trocken
Candied lemon peel and tangerine fruit, radiantly fresh, almost
Kabinett-like. On the palate there is very good balance
between density and juicy acidity. Terpenic extract illustrates
the distinctive site character, with chalky minerality.

Fruit-driven aromatics of raspberry, quince and sweet cherry.
On the palate there is medium-fine mousse and ripe acidity
with savoury Pinot fruit. Good substance and a suitably dry

Muskateller Beerenauslese
Clear, rich yellow. On the nose dried fruits, peach, orange
zest, herbal spice, nutmeg and hints of smoke. Very vivid
sweetness on the palate, lively acidity, concentrated, dense
citrus fruit, lime, texture, lots of drive, good length. Ageing

Scheurebe Auslese
Highly concentrated grapefruit fruit on the nose. There also
is a clear botrytis component and underlying dried porcini
mushroom. Very round and finely-chiselled palate, with fresh

Red berry nose with meadow herbs and some yellow apple.
On the palate there is a fullness of fruit without becoming
baroque, overlayed with a fine acidity. Good grip, fine phenolics
and balance with noticeable tension.
