Sascha Nehb seems to have a predilection
for grape varieties which never seem to
play more than a supporting role for
other winemakers: Schwarzriesling (aka Pinot
Meunier), Cabernet Mitos and Regent regularly
reach heights here. His Schwarzriesling
“unfiltriert” from the Goldberg site shows
substance and an attractive tartness of fruit. Its
counterpart “Terroir Calcaire” impresses with
its limestone undernotes, while the Cabernet
Mitos convinces with its savoury and herbal
scent. Likewise, the Riesling “Terrain Calcaire”
shows structure and style. Sascha Nehb
always has pleasant surprises up his sleeve.

Pear, citrus fruit and lemongrass, ripe apple and plum on the
nose. Spicy juiciness on the palate, accompanying fruit

Grauer Burgunder Spätlese trocken
Pear skin, quince and pear, rosehip and herb garden. Juicy
and varietal Pinot Gris with late harvest character. Well built
and depicting the cheery fullness of the grape variety in a
conclusive way without taking it over the top. Fine spiciness.

Concentrated nose of elderberry, blackberry, some blood orange
and ginger, wood spice. Dry on the palate, no frills, tart
fruit and some dark chocolate. Full bodied and with good
