When it comes to navigating a large
ship you need a clear sense of direction,
just like the Winzergenossenschaft
in Kallstadt. “We and our members
put all of our ambition into growing excellent
grapes and these form the basis for the production
of premium wines,” stated from the cooperative.
They look after 240 hectares of vineyards
amongst which are famed sites such as
the Kallstadter Saumagen. Care in the vineyards,
artisanal tradition and innovative winemaking
result in wines that show real balance,
like their Weissburgunder “Edition”. All
of this comes at prices that are more than fair.

Very clear, multi-layered late harvest fruit; tangerine, hay,
buttery notes. Smooth and round on the palate, well integrated
acidity, a hint of sweetness, robust body with medium-high
extract. A gastronomic wine with good varietal expression.

Delicately cream coloured. On the nose blueberry, malt, honey
and sweet chestnut. Supple on the palate and full, ripe
acidity. A comparatively dry body suggests a wine destined

Lime, fragrant, herbal tones. Slender on the palate but
slightly chalky - the site comes through although the wine
remains rather lightweight. Juicy, fine-boned structure, well
rounded, clearly mineral. An affordable single-site Riesling.

Clear, rich yellow. On the nose ripe citrus fruit, mango, papaya
and notes of smoke. On the palate; powerful sweetness, pear
juice, apricot, papaya and almond. Dense structure, well integrated

Candied fruit, rose, smoke - clear on the nose. On the palate
juicy, full bodied, firm acidity, strong alcohol, just a hint
of sweetness. An appetising, not overwhelming, well balanced
varietal expression. Would go very well with curries.
