If we weren’t trying to be objective in our
judgements, we could easily award brownie
points to this charitable wine estate for its
ethos alone: three dozen people with varying disabilities
work alongside an experienced vineyard
and cellar team. But this kind of pre-emptory
praise is entirely unnecessary. The wines score because
they are well-made and confident. The
Riesling from the Wachenheimer Schlossberg
shows its provenance with tension and power,
the Wachenheim village wine comes with layered
nuances, the one from Dürkheim just makes you
want to take another sip. The only thing we can
criticize: that only four wines were presented.

Ripe apple and stone fruit, herbs, apple peel, blood orange,
lime zest, cool mineral note. Juicy with texture on the palate
but also with power and tension, rather broad body. Good balance
with clear expression of origin. 13 Vol.-%. cork, €€

Beautifully intricate nose with yellow fruit, floral notes, leafy
green and stony earthy notions. Also yellow-fruited on the
palate with fine accompaniment of citrus, spice and ripe
acidity, underpinned with mineral accents. Multi-layered yet

trocken CS/CF/ME
Blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot
with fruity dark berry, black cherry and blackcurrant aromas.
Well balanced on the palate with ripe fruit, juiciness, smooth
tannins and the necessary portion of freshness.

90 2019 Dürkheim Riesling trocken
The Pfalz salutes us from the glass with ripe yellow fruit
and full-bodied drinking pleasure. Slenderly built with a
fine balance, tightly woven acidity. The ripe, delicate fruit
hooks itself underneath the mineral foundation anchoring
