For years now Weingut Korrell has been
amongst the most reliable addresses of
the Nahe – whether entry-level or top
wine, each and every bottle can be relied upon.
And yet Martin Korrell constantly looks for
elements he can fine-tune; longer skin contact,
more time on fine lees, more intense selection
during harvest and ground cover of clover in
the vineyard. His efforts are paying off!
The dry Riesling “Von den grossen Lagen”
unites power and elegance, his “Étape XXII” is
powerful and layered, the balanced Auslese
disarms with its juiciness – with a long life
ahead.

Rich, clear yellow. On the nose hot stone, some smoke, ripe
peach, mint and tangerine; sumptuous and animating. Firm
on the palate, fine acidity, lots of texture, balanced, some
fruit sweetness, juicy with a densely-woven structure. Long
and powerful, still needs time. 13 Vol.-%. cork, €€€€
palate hazelnut re-emerges, acidity and creamy texture
well-combined, nice structure and medium length. Pairs well

Clear, medium yellow. On the nose zesty citrus fruit, some
passion fruit, lime juice and a hint of mint. On the palate
crisp, ripe acidity, again citrus fruit, lots of tension and traction,
somewhat rounded and a fine structure. Good length,
wine with potential. 13 Vol.-%. screwcap, €€€

Clear, medium yellow. On the nose animating citrus fruit,
pleasant ripeness, apricot, peach and red grapefruit. Ripe, invigorating
acidity on the palate, somewhat phenolic, citrus
fruit with a nice firm core. Tense minerality with elegance.

Clear, rich yellow. Luscious and fresh on the nose with notes
of mango, passion fruit, underlaid with dried fruits, apricot.
Juicy on the palate, good balance between acidity and
sweetness, gripping with a touch of candied lime peel. Good
structure and length, needs time. 7,5 Vol.-%, screwcap, €€
