UNIDAD DIDÁCTICA 8ª: The future.<br />

1. OBJETIVOS DIDÁCTICOS.<br />

Motivar a los alumnos y alumnas <strong>de</strong>l grupo al inicio <strong>de</strong> una nueva Unidad didáctica, <strong>de</strong>terminando el grado <strong>de</strong><br />

adquisición que tienen <strong>de</strong> las <strong>de</strong>strezas básicas (Reading, Writing, Listening y Speaking) y su competencia en<br />

las diferentes habilida<strong>de</strong>s lingüísticas y cognitivas, así como sobre sus conocimientos en las categorías<br />

Vocabulary, Grammar y Pronunciation.<br />

Reconocer y aplicar productivamente las diversas intenciones comunicativas y funciones (Objectives)<br />

asociadas a la Unidad didáctica:<br />

• Vocabulary:<br />

- Talk and write about holiday items.<br />

- Talk and write about transport places.<br />

• Grammar:<br />

- Use comparatives and superlatives.<br />

- Use ‘will’ / ‘won’t’.<br />

- Form and use ‘going to’ with ‘I think’.<br />

- Contrast ‘will’ and ‘going to’.<br />

- Use the present continuous to talk about the future.<br />

• Pronunciation:<br />

- Learn and pronounce the ‘home’, ‘know’ and ‘potato’, and ‘house’, ‘town’ and ‘shout’ sounds<br />

(Phonetic Chart).<br />

• Reading:<br />

- Read a text about the year 2050.<br />

- Learn and use the following reading strategies: First and last sentences, Simple phrases, Guessing<br />

meaning.<br />

• Writing:<br />

- Write about their holidays.<br />

- Analyse the grammar used in a composition.<br />

• Listening and speaking:<br />

- Listen to and talk about plans and intentions.<br />

- Listen to and talk about holidays.<br />

1.2. Objetivos <strong>de</strong> aprendizaje:<br />

Reconocer y producir el vocabulario (Vocabulary) programado relacionado con los diversos campos<br />

conceptuales que se <strong>de</strong>sarrollan en la Unidad didáctica:<br />

• Holiday items.<br />

• Transport places.<br />

Apren<strong>de</strong>r, conocer y poner en práctica las estructuras gramaticales y contenidos lingüísticos (Grammar)<br />

programados en la Unidad didáctica:<br />

• Comparatives and superlatives.<br />

• The future with ‘will’.<br />

• The future with ‘going to’ / ‘I think’.<br />

• Will vs. Going to.<br />

• The future with the present continuous.<br />
