Port Audit And Update Test (#36)<br />

1006 ABORT. The port is out of service. The port has been busied out by comm<strong>and</strong> or taken<br />

out-of-service by a failure of the NPE Crosstalk Test.<br />

ALARM-PT:<br />

1. Check the Error Log for Error Type 18 (port busied out). If this <strong>error</strong> is present,<br />

use release port location <strong>and</strong> run the <strong>test</strong> again.<br />

2. Check the Error Log for Error Type 1025 for this port. If this <strong>error</strong> is present,<br />

investigate <strong>error</strong>s associated with NPE Crosstalk Test (#6)<br />

ANL-LINE, AN-LN-PT, ANL-16-L, OPS-LINE, RANL-STA:<br />

1. Check the Error Log for Error Type 18 (port busied out). If this <strong>error</strong> is present,<br />

use release station extension <strong>and</strong> run the <strong>test</strong> again.<br />

2. Check the Error Log for Error Type 1025 for this port. If this <strong>error</strong> is present,<br />

investigate <strong>error</strong>s associated with NPE Crosstalk Test (#6).<br />

3. Ensure that the terminal is connected <strong>and</strong> in service, <strong>and</strong> re<strong>test</strong>.<br />

DAT-LINE:<br />

1. An existing Error Type #769 on this port prevented the <strong>test</strong> from running. Follow<br />

the procedure in the DAT-LINE (Data Line Port) Error Log Table for Error Type<br />

769.<br />

PE-BCHL:<br />

1. Enter status pri-endpoint extension to verify that the port is out of<br />

service.<br />

2. Enter release pri-endpoint extension or release port location<br />

to put the port back in service, then run the <strong>test</strong> again.<br />

WAE-PORT:<br />

1. If Error 18 is present in the Error Log for this port, enter<br />

release access-endpoint extension <strong>and</strong> retry the <strong>test</strong>.<br />

2. If Error 18 is not present, check the <strong>error</strong> <strong>and</strong> alarm logs for WAE-PORT,<br />

DS1-BD, UDS1-BD, or MG-DS1 <strong>error</strong>s <strong>and</strong> follow the recommended repair<br />

procedures. See WAE-PORT (Wideb<strong>and</strong> Access Endpoint Port), DS1-BD (DS1<br />

Interface Circuit Pack), UDS1-BD (UDS1 Interface Circuit Pack), or MG-DS1<br />

(DS1 Interface Media Module)<br />

All other Maintenance Objects:<br />

1. Enter display port location to determine the trunk group/member number<br />

of the port. Enter status trunk to verify that the trunk is out of service. If the<br />

trunk is out of service, determine why. If it is OK to put the trunk back in service,<br />

enter release trunk <strong>and</strong> retry the <strong>test</strong>.<br />

2. Check the <strong>error</strong> log for Error Type 1025. If this <strong>error</strong> exists, investigate <strong>error</strong>s<br />

associated with the NPE Crosstalk Test (#6).<br />

3. Retry the comm<strong>and</strong> at 1-minute intervals up to 5 times.<br />
