Expansion Interface Packet Interface Test (#589)<br />

1141 ABORT The Packet Interface circuit pack is out of service.<br />

1. See PKT-INT (Packet Interface) for the recommended repair<br />

procedure.<br />

1144 ABORT The PN’s packet bus has a major alarm against it. This <strong>test</strong> needs to use<br />

the alarmed PN’s packet bus.<br />

1. Enter display alarms <strong>and</strong> resolve any PKT-BUS alarms.<br />

2. Retry the comm<strong>and</strong>.<br />

1394 ABORT The EI circuit pack is out of service <strong>and</strong> the <strong>test</strong> cot be run. This condition<br />

is due to a change in the EI circuit pack’s ability to communicate with the<br />

EI or SNI circuit pack on the other end of the fiber.<br />

1. Run Test #237 <strong>and</strong> check the Error Log for EXP-INTF Error Type<br />

1281. If Error Type 1281 is present or if Test #237 does not pass,<br />

see the repair procedures for Expansion Interface Neighbor Query<br />

Test (#237).<br />

2. If Test #237 passes, rest the EI pack. Note that this will not be<br />

destructive to the port network where EI circuit pack resides<br />

because it will not be serving as the expansion Archangel if it is not<br />

in service.<br />

3. Repeat this <strong>test</strong>.<br />

1395 ABORT This <strong>test</strong> cot be run on an EI circuit pack if it is part of the B-side PNC <strong>and</strong><br />

duplicated PNC is not enabled.<br />

1. If this <strong>test</strong> needs to run on this EI circuit pack, enter change<br />

system-parameters duplication to enable PNC.<br />

2. Enter set pnc lock to prevent the system from doing a PNC<br />

interchange.<br />

3. Repeat this <strong>test</strong>.<br />
