Trunk-side Layer 1 Query Test (#1242)<br />

ABORT Internal system <strong>error</strong>.<br />

Could not allocate the necessary system resources to run this <strong>test</strong>.<br />

1. Retry the comm<strong>and</strong> at 1-minute intervals up to 5 times.<br />

1 FAIL Received a status of Level 1 Pending Activation. U interface is down,<br />

indicating a problem with a connection between the switch <strong>and</strong> the NT1,<br />

a 2- to 4-wire converter that is used to connect 4-wire terminals to a<br />

2-wire TN2198 or TN2185 circuit pack.<br />

1. Verify that the connections between the switch <strong>and</strong> the NT1 are<br />

good. Verify that the NT1 has power.<br />

2. Enter <strong>test</strong> port location <strong>and</strong> review the results of the Level 1<br />

Status Query Test #1242 to verify the repair. If this <strong>test</strong> still fails,<br />

proceed to Step 3.<br />

3. Follow the manufacturers repair procedures for the NT1. Then<br />

enter <strong>test</strong> port location <strong>and</strong> review the results of the Level 1<br />

Status Query <strong>test</strong> to verify repair.<br />

2 FAIL Received a status of Level 1 Pending Activation. U interface up, S/T<br />

interface down, which indicates a problem with the NT1 or the wiring<br />

between the NT1 <strong>and</strong> the BRI endpoint (S/T interface).<br />

1. Enter <strong>test</strong> port location <strong>and</strong> review the results of the Level 1<br />

Status Query <strong>test</strong> to verify the repair. If this <strong>test</strong> still fails, proceed to<br />

Step 2.<br />

2. Follow the manufacturer-recommended repair procedures for the<br />

NT1. Then enter <strong>test</strong> port location <strong>and</strong> review the results of<br />

the Level 1 Status Query <strong>test</strong> to verify repair.<br />
