There are three IP Server Interface (IPSI) circuit packs:
● TN2312 IP Server Interface Circuit Pack
● TN2312BP IP Server Interface Circuit Pack
● TN8412AP S8400 IP Server Interface Circuit Pack (SIPI)
Note:
Note: The TN8412AP is the same as the TN2312BP, except that it can only run in an
S8400 system.
The IP Server Interface (IPSI) circuit packs report the following settings to Communication
Manager:
● 802.1p value
● DiffServ value
● Ethernet auto-negotiate
● Ethernet Duplex
● Ethernet Speed
Communication Manager compares the values of these settings with the Communication
Manager administered values and raises an alarm if discrepancies are found. This alarm is
reported against MO_IPSI_BD with an Error Type of 1.

Note: The only Error Type reported against this MO is error Type 18. All other Error
Types will be reported against MOs supporting the IPSI circuit pack functional
modules: PKT-INT, IPSV-CTL, ETR-PT, TDM-CLK, TONE-PT, TONE-BD,
SER-BUS, CAB-EXFR, EXT-DEV, CAB-PFL, POW-SUP, CAB-TEMP, PS-RGEN,
CAB-CALM, and CAB-MTCE.
The TN2312 IPSI circuit pack connects the port networks to the servers via an IP network and
provides port-network control functions.
