Maintenance <strong>Dem<strong>and</strong></strong> Tests<br />

Sanity Test (#1547)<br />

This <strong>test</strong> performs an IPSI maintenance board sanity h<strong>and</strong>shake for CAB-MTCE (Media<br />

Gateway Maintenance).<br />

Internal operation failed. Possible unknown cabinet type.<br />

1. Repeat the comm<strong>and</strong> at one-minute intervals up to 3 times.<br />

FAIL The TN2312BP in carrier A is missing. This <strong>test</strong> will also fail if an<br />

incorrect response or no response from firmware is received when the<br />

board is queried.<br />

PASS The correct board is present <strong>and</strong> a valid response was received.<br />

Environmental Maintenance Initialization Test (#1548)<br />

The Environmental Maintenance Initialization Test is executed when an IPSI circuit pack is<br />

inserted <strong>and</strong> the board <strong>and</strong> media gateway type is determined. When a TN2312AP is inserted in<br />

a CMC1, G600, or G650, the Power Fan Lead (AuxSig) environmental maintenance is enabled.<br />

When a TN2312BP IPSI is inserted in either a CMC1 or G600, Communication Manager sends<br />

the following messages to the embedded software (firmware) on the board:<br />

● Enable environmental maintenance (Power Fan lead)<br />

● A query to verify that environmental maintenance is enabled<br />
