FAIL Far-end DS1 converter loopback failed. A problem exists between the<br />

DS1 converter A <strong>and</strong> the DS1 converter B. See Figure 107: Far-End<br />

DS1 Converter Loopback Configuration.<br />

1. If there are facilities that are not digital-data compatible, busyout<br />

the facilities using busyout ds1-facility.<br />

2. Enter display <strong>error</strong>s <strong>and</strong> follow the associated repair<br />

procedures for any on-board DS1C-BD (DS1 Converter Circuit<br />

Pack) <strong>error</strong>s on this DS1 converter circuit pack <strong>and</strong> the DS1<br />

converter circuit pack at the other end of the DS1 converter<br />

complex.<br />

3. Enter display <strong>error</strong>s <strong>and</strong> follow the associated repair<br />

procedures for any DS1-FAC (DS1 Facility) <strong>error</strong>s on the DS1<br />

facilities.<br />

4. Check the DS1 Converter Measurements Report to see if there are<br />

facilities with excessive <strong>error</strong>s. Enter list measurements<br />

ds1-facility summary. If there are facilities with excessive<br />

<strong>error</strong>s, run the Far-End Internal Loopback <strong>test</strong> (#797) on those<br />

facilities, <strong>and</strong> follow repair procedures described for the Far-End<br />

Internal Loopback Test (#797).<br />

5. If the <strong>test</strong> still fails, replace the DS1 converter circuit pack at the<br />

other end of the DS1 converter complex.<br />

6. If the <strong>test</strong> still fails, replace this DS1 converter circuit pack.<br />
