Maintenance <strong>Dem<strong>and</strong></strong> Tests<br />

BRI XID Test (#628)<br />

This <strong>test</strong> checks the D-chel connection between the server <strong>and</strong> an endpoint or adjunct.<br />

A D-chel XID frame is sent to the endpoint or adjunct over the point-to-point signaling link. The<br />

<strong>test</strong> passes if the endpoint or adjunct responds with a layer-2 XID-RESPONSE frame.<br />

This <strong>test</strong> must be administered to not run on the Station Administration screen for ports on a<br />

TN2208.<br />

This <strong>test</strong> runs on BRI-SET, Various Adjuncts.<br />

1000 ABORT The BRI-SET, ASAI-ADJ, ATT-ADJ, LGATE-AJ, ATTE-AJ is busy. The<br />

<strong>test</strong> cot be executed at this time:<br />

1. Wait 1 minute <strong>and</strong> rerun the comm<strong>and</strong>.<br />

2. If this problem persists, escalate this problem.<br />

Note: A BRI-PORT can also be busy. When running this <strong>test</strong> for<br />

BRI-PORT or ABRI-PORT, the above maintenance objects can be<br />

changed to “BRI-PORT, ABRI-PORT, ATT-ADJ.”<br />

1005 ABORT The endpoint is not administered to support XID <strong>test</strong>ing.<br />

1. If the endpoint documentation reflects support XID <strong>test</strong>ing, enter<br />

change station extension <strong>and</strong> change the XID Testing field<br />

on the screen to y.<br />

1113 ABORT The signaling link between the switch <strong>and</strong> the endpoint is down.<br />

1. Enter <strong>test</strong> port location long to clear any <strong>error</strong>s that<br />

prevent establishment of the signaling link.<br />

2. Examine the results of the Signaling Link Status <strong>test</strong> (#626) that is<br />

run as part of this comm<strong>and</strong>. If this <strong>test</strong> aborts or fails, follow the<br />

repair procedure for Test #626.<br />

3. If the XID <strong>test</strong> (#628) continues to abort, escalate the problem.<br />
