Notes:<br />

a. Error Type 0: Run the short <strong>test</strong> sequence first. If every <strong>test</strong> passes, run the long <strong>test</strong><br />

sequence. Refer to the <strong>test</strong>’s description <strong>and</strong> follow the recommended procedures.<br />

b. Error Type 1: the circuit pack stopped functioning or is not completely administered. The<br />

alarm is logged approximately 15 minutes after the circuit pack has been removed or 11<br />

minutes after the SAKI <strong>test</strong> (#53) fails.<br />

To be completely administered, a DS1 circuit pack must:<br />

● Have an entry in the circuit plan field in change circuit-packs<br />

● Be administered using add ds1 location<br />

● Be physically inserted in the correct slot<br />

If the circuit pack has an entry in the circuit plan <strong>and</strong> either of the other two conditions are<br />

not met, a MINOR alarm is logged. To resolve the <strong>error</strong>, either:<br />

● Make sure all conditions for administration are met <strong>and</strong> that a functioning DS1 circuit<br />

pack is inserted in the correct slot, or<br />

● Completely remove the DS1-BD from the system:<br />

1. Remove any administered DS1 trunks or access endpoints associated with the<br />

circuit pack from their trunk groups.<br />
