Communication Manager, Media Gateways <strong>and</strong> Servers<br />

(03-300432).<br />

2027 FAIL The EI circuit pack has contact with the neighboring EI or SNI circuit<br />

pack, but it is the incorrect EI or SNI circuit pack.<br />

1. Enter list fiber-link <strong>and</strong> verify that every fiber link cable is<br />

installed as it is administered.<br />

2. Repeat the comm<strong>and</strong>.<br />

PASS The EI circuit pack has successfully established a link with the neighbor<br />

EI or SNI circuit pack.<br />

1. If status port-network still indicates that this link is down, one<br />

or both of the EI <strong>and</strong>/or SNI circuit packs may have been busied<br />

out.<br />

2. If the link still does not come up, reset one or both EI <strong>and</strong>/or SNI<br />

circuit packs on the link.<br />

Expansion Interface Fiber Out-of-Frame Query Test (#238)<br />

This <strong>test</strong> is a request to an EI circuit pack to determine if it is can detect the framing sequence<br />

on the incoming fiber’s data stream. If it cot detect this framing signal, the EI circuit pack will not<br />

be able to establish a link with the opposite EI or SNI circuit pack.<br />
