2 FAIL The board is reporting different options than what is administered.<br />

Software tried to correct the options but the board did not accept the<br />

option update.<br />

1. Set the administration values to the actual values that the board is<br />

reporting. The comm<strong>and</strong>s to change administration are:<br />

f. Enter get ethernet-options location to determine<br />

the current settings, both administered <strong>and</strong> actual.<br />

g. Enter change ip-interface location <strong>and</strong> change the<br />

Enable Ethernet Port field to n to turn off the interface.<br />

Submit the form to disable the interface.<br />

h. Enter change ip-interface location <strong>and</strong> change<br />

the Ethernet Options fields as required. Submit the form.<br />

i. Enter change ip-interface location <strong>and</strong> change the<br />

Enable Ethernet Port field to y to turn on the interface.<br />

Submit the form to enable the interface.<br />

j. Enter get ethernet-options location to verify that<br />

Ethernet options are the same in administration <strong>and</strong> on the<br />

board.<br />

2. Test the board using the <strong>test</strong> board location comm<strong>and</strong>. If the<br />

<strong>test</strong> still fails, replace the board.<br />

3. If service is normal <strong>and</strong> the alarm is causing concern, disable the <strong>test</strong><br />

<strong>and</strong> escalate the problem.<br />

PASS The circuit pack’s network interface parameters match administration.<br />

Link State Audit Test (#1527)<br />

This <strong>test</strong> verifies the Media Gateway H.248 link state <strong>and</strong> alarm state. If the user knows the MG<br />

is up but there is still an alarm indicating the link is down, this <strong>test</strong> should be run by using<br />

<strong>test</strong> media-gateway location.<br />

This <strong>test</strong> runs on MED-GTWY (MEDIA GATEWAY).<br />
