Session Status Test (#1286)<br />

This <strong>test</strong> queries the status of every Ethernet or PPP port session. It runs on ETH-PT (Control<br />

LAN Ethernet) <strong>and</strong> PPP-PT (Control LAN Packet/Port).<br />

If the system indicates that... Then the <strong>test</strong>...<br />

Every port session is up (ALL UP) Raises no alarm, or retires alarm<br />

Some port sessions are up (SOME UP) Raises a WARNING alarm<br />

Every port session is down (ALL DOWN) Raises a MINOR alarm<br />

1124 ABORT Ethernet or PPP link is not enabled.<br />

1. Verify that the Ethernet or PPP link is enabled using status port<br />

location, status link n, or display data-module.<br />

2. If the link is not enabled, enable the link using<br />

change data-module.<br />

3. Repeat the <strong>test</strong>.<br />

4. Escalate if the problem persists.<br />

1125 ABORT Ethernet or PPP link not in service.<br />

1. Verify whether the Ethernet or PPP link is in service with<br />

status port location or status link n.<br />

2. If the Ethernet or PPP link is not in service, release the link with<br />

release link n or release port location.<br />

3. Repeat the <strong>test</strong>.<br />

4. Escalate if the problem persists.<br />

2000 ABORT Response to the <strong>test</strong> was not received within the allowed time.<br />

1. If the problem persists, reset the circuit pack <strong>and</strong> rerun the <strong>test</strong>.<br />

2. If the problem persists, replace the circuit pack.<br />
