1. If the board is seated <strong>and</strong> you hear fast beeping, it means that one of the small boards containing the<br />

memory chips is dislodged. Secure the memory board firmly in the receptacle <strong>and</strong> reseat the circuit pack.<br />

The TN802 hard drive (Note 5 in Figure 40: TN802 board assembly <strong>and</strong> cables (side view)) can<br />

be replaced in the field.<br />

Shut down Windows 2000 by either method described in<br />

Shutting Down NT on the TN802.<br />

2. Remove the circuit pack. Unlatch the circuit pack, <strong>and</strong> remove it from the carrier.<br />

3. Remove the hard drive. Remove the 2 screws, <strong>and</strong> lift the hard drive out of its<br />

mounting bracket.<br />

4. Replace the hard drive. Position the new hard drive in the mounting bracket, <strong>and</strong><br />

replace the 2 screws (Step 3).<br />
