ISDN Test Call Test (#258)<br />

This <strong>test</strong> performs a far-end looparound <strong>test</strong> over an ISDN trunk if:<br />

● The trunk is in-service, maint-NE, or out-of-service/NE.<br />

● No calls are active on the trunk.<br />

ISDN Test Call Test (#258)<br />

1116 ABORT The trunk is in an out-of-service ISDN service state. A call cot be made if<br />

the trunk is in this state. No action is necessary.<br />

ATM-BCH, ISDN-TRK, TBRI-TRK:<br />

1. Check the trunk service state with status trunk grp#/mem#.<br />

PE-BCHL:<br />

1. Enter status pri-endpoint extension to investigate the<br />

ISDN state of the port.<br />

1700 ABORT Rollabout video abort. The PRI terminal adapter associated with this PRI<br />

endpoint extension is detached from the circuit pack. This is a normal<br />

abort when the rollabout video feature is enabled.<br />

1. Reconnect the disconnected PRI terminal adapter or disable the<br />

rollabout video feature on this circuit pack. To do the latter, enter<br />

change ds1 location <strong>and</strong> set the Alarm when PRI Endpoint<br />

Detached? field to y.<br />

2100 ABORT Could not allocate needed resources<br />

1. Retry the comm<strong>and</strong> up to 5 times at 1-minute intervals.<br />

FAIL Internal system <strong>error</strong><br />

1. Retry the comm<strong>and</strong> up to 5 times at 1-minute intervals.<br />

PASS A call-state auditing message was successfully sent to the far-end to<br />

verify the state of the call active on this port. Use display <strong>error</strong>s for<br />

the board to determine the true results of the <strong>test</strong>. When this <strong>test</strong> is run, a<br />

2-minute timer is started <strong>and</strong> a Layer 3 Status Inquiry message is sent to<br />

the far-end. The <strong>test</strong> passes when a response is received from the<br />

far-end.<br />
