the EPF is off for that port. This means that the power for this particular port is not working.<br />

As a recovery strategy, you may busy out or release the port <strong>and</strong> then re-<strong>test</strong> the port.<br />

However, if the failure still continues, replace the board.<br />

k. Error Type 1026: There is a problem with the voice terminal EEPROM. When the voice<br />

terminal is repaired the alarm will be resolved with the passing of time.<br />

l. Error Type 1537: an off-board warning was generated due to a problem with the link to the<br />

voice terminal. This can be ignored if no user complaints are received. Otherwise, make<br />

sure the voice terminal is connected, check for defective wiring, check for a defective voice<br />

terminal, <strong>and</strong> move voice terminal to a jack that is closer to the switch (in terms of feet of<br />

wiring between the jack <strong>and</strong> the switch). If the problem still exists, replace the circuit pack or<br />

media module. Once the problem has been resolved, the alarm will be retired after a<br />

predetermined amount of time.<br />

m. Error Type 2304: Internal system <strong>error</strong>. No action is necessary.<br />

n. Error Type 2305, Aux Data 32770: This indicates that the station went off-hook while it was<br />

in the ready-for-service state. Use status station to determine the state of the station.<br />

The off-hook should have moved the station to ready-for-service. No action is necessary.<br />

o. Error Type 2305, Aux Data 40967: an off-board warning was generated due to some<br />

problem with the link to the voice terminal. This can be ignored if no user complaints are<br />

received. Otherwise, make sure the voice terminal is connected, check for defective wiring,<br />

check for a defective voice terminal, <strong>and</strong> move voice terminal to a jack that is closer to the<br />

switch (in terms of feet of wiring between the jack <strong>and</strong> the switch). If the problem still exists,<br />

replace the circuit pack or media module. Once the problem has been resolved, the alarm<br />

will be retired after a predetermined amount of time.<br />

p. Error Type 2817: Port Level Hyperactivity. Fifty or more CCMS uplink messages were<br />

received from the port within ten seconds. The user is taken out of service for a short<br />

interval of time (default 30 seconds).<br />

q. Error Type 3585: an attempt to execute a firmware download of a DCP terminal has failed.<br />

The DCP terminal must be replaced before the firmware download can be executed<br />

successfully. Replace the DCP terminal <strong>and</strong> re-execute the firmware download.<br />

r. Error Type 3840, Aux Data 40965: No terminal is connected to the Digital Line board. No<br />

maintenance action is required.<br />

s. Error Type 3840, Aux Data 40989: the Electric Power Feed (EPF) is on with no load on it.<br />

No action is necessary.<br />

t. Error Type 3841: The circuit pack’s or media module’s message buffer is full. This may be<br />

caused by having many display phones with heavy traffic connected to the circuit pack or<br />

media module. No action is necessary.<br />
