Communication Manager Maintenance Object Repair Procedures<br />

t. Error Type 3842: LANHO Receive FIFO Overflow <strong>error</strong>; the packet bus is delivering data to<br />

the ATM-TRK circuit pack faster than the circuit pack can distribute it to the endpoint.<br />

1. Do nothing. The circuit pack can recover by itself.<br />

u. Error Type 3843: The firmware on the circuit pack is reporting a resource that is to low. This<br />

<strong>error</strong> does not affect the service <strong>and</strong> no action is required.<br />

v. Error Type 3999: circuit pack sent a large number of control chel messages to the switch<br />

within a short period of time.<br />

If Then<br />

Error Type 1538 is also present The circuit pack is taken out of service.<br />

Error Type 1538 is absent The circuit pack is not taken out of service, but<br />

has generated 50% of the messages necessary<br />

to be considered hyperactive.<br />

● This can be normal during heavy traffic.<br />
