INVALID MESSAGES<br />

ATM-NTWK (ATM Network Error)<br />

81 (a) Invalid call reference value. This cause indicates that its sending equipment<br />

received a message with a call reference that is currently inactive on the<br />

user-network interface.<br />

82 (a) Identified chel does not exist. This cause indicates that its sending<br />

equipment received a request to use a chel not activated for the call’s<br />

interface.<br />

88 (a) Incompatible destination. This cause indicates that its sending equipment<br />

received a request to establish a call with either Broadb<strong>and</strong> low-layer<br />

information, Broadb<strong>and</strong> high-layer information, or other compatibility<br />

attributes that cot be accommodated.<br />

89 (a) Invalid endpoint reference value. This cause indicates that its sending<br />

equipment has received a message with an endpoint reference that is<br />

currently idle on the user-network interface.<br />

91 (a) Invalid transit network selection. This cause indicates that a transit network<br />

identification was received in an incorrect format.<br />

92 (a) Too many pending add-party requests. This cause indicates a temporary<br />

condition when the calling party sends an add-party message, but the<br />

network rejects the message due to full queues.<br />

93 (a) AAL parameters cot be supported. This cause indicates that its sending<br />

equipment received a request to establish a call with ATM adaptation-layer<br />

parameters that cot be accommodated.<br />

96 (a) M<strong>and</strong>atory information element (IE) is missing. This cause indicates its<br />

sending equipment has received a message with a missing IE.<br />

97 (a) Message type either non-existent or not implemented. This cause indicates<br />

that its sending equipment received a message with an unrecognized type,<br />

either because the type is undefined, or defined but not implemented by the<br />

cause-sending equipment.<br />
