Loss of Signal Alarm Inquiry Test (#138)<br />

1300 FAIL The CSU module/T1 sync splitter or E1 Sync Splitter is missing.<br />

The CSU module/T1 sync splitter is missing: The Near-End CSU Type<br />

field on the add ds1 screen has been administered as integrated but the<br />

120A CSU module or the 401A T1 sync splitter is not physically<br />

connected to the UDS1 board on the back of the port carrier.<br />

1. If using the 120A CSU module or the 401A T1 sync splitter, plug the<br />

CSU module/T1 sync splitter into the DS1/UDS1 circuit pack’s<br />

connector on the I/O connector panel on back of the carrier.<br />

Otherwise, set the Near-End CSU Type field to other using the<br />

change ds1 screen.<br />

2. Run the <strong>test</strong> again.<br />

The E1 Sync Splitter is missing: The E1 Sync-Splitter? field on the add<br />

ds1 screen has been administered as y but the 402A or 403A E1 Sync<br />

Splitter is not physically connected to the UDS1 board on the back of the<br />

port carrier.<br />

1. If using the 402A or 403A E1 synchronization splitter, plug the E1SS<br />

into the UDS1 circuit pack’s connector on the I/O connector panel on<br />

back of the carrier. Otherwise, set the E1 Sync-Splitter field to n<br />

using the change ds1 screen.<br />

2. Run the <strong>test</strong> again.<br />
