Notes:<br />

a. Error Type 0: Run the short <strong>test</strong> sequence first. If every <strong>test</strong> passes, run the long <strong>test</strong><br />

sequence. Refer to each <strong>test</strong>’s description <strong>and</strong> follow its procedures.<br />

b. Error Type 1: the circuit pack has totally stopped functioning or is not fully administered.<br />

The alarm is logged about 15 minutes after the circuit pack has been removed or 11<br />

minutes after the SAKI <strong>test</strong> (#53) fails.<br />

To be fully administered, a MAPD circuit pack must:<br />

● Have an entry in the circuit plan (change circuit-pack)<br />

● Be administered (add ds1 location)<br />

WRN3 1. If ports are assigned to the circuit pack, then a minor alarm is raised. If no ports are assigned to the circuit<br />

pack, then a warning alarm is raised. The alarm is raised after the circuit pack has been missing for a period<br />

of 15 minutes. Warning alarms are also raised against any ports administered on the circuit pack.<br />

2. Minor alarms on this MO may be downgraded to warning alarms based on values set in set options.<br />

3. Major alarms on this MO may be downgraded to minor or warning based on values set in set options.<br />

● Be physically inserted into the correct slot<br />

If the circuit pack has an entry in the circuit plan <strong>and</strong> the other two conditions are not met,<br />

a MINOR alarm is logged. To resolve the <strong>error</strong>:<br />

● Make sure the circuit pack is properly administered <strong>and</strong> that a functioning MAPD<br />

circuit pack is inserted in the correct slot<br />

or<br />

● Completely remove the MAPD-BD from the system:<br />

1. Shut down Windows 2000. See Shutting Down NT on the TN802.<br />

2. Remove any administered DS1 trunks, access endpoints, or PRI endpoints<br />

associated with the circuit pack from their respective trunk groups.<br />
