Se diseñan diferentes actividades que permiten que el alumno adquiera las
expresiones e ítems léxicos necesarios para describir lugares de trabajo. A su vez, se
proporcionan links para práctica extra como videos que ilustran el uso de las
preposiciones de lugar en inglés 6 . En la clase presencial, se retoma el trabajo virtual y
se trabaja sobre las expresiones utilizadas por los hablantes en el texto elegido para
describir lugares de trabajo. Se hace hincapié en el uso de aquellas frases que son de
uso coloquial y dan fluidez al hablante, por ej. I share…./ I don’t share… Los textos se
trabajan en el esquema de clase de adquisición de lenguas extrajeras, con actividades
de activación, lectura, resolución de actividades de comprensión y presentación de
elementos gramaticales, en este caso there is/there are, have/ has, utilizando las
expresiones vertidas en los textos.

I share an office with 2 other people, in a fairly generic modern 3-storey office
building at Sophia Antipolis, in the hills above Antibes in the south of France - it has big
picture windows, and on a clear day I can see the Italian Alps, and if go to the window, I
can see the sea as well, in the distance. We are surrounded by low forested hills, with a
few houses on the other side of the valley.
On the wall behind my desk I have 11 Dilbert cartoons, a calendar and an abstract
artwork by niece (aged 3). On top of my workstation I have a rubber aeroplane with
"Amadeus" written on it, a small fluffy Airbus toy that makes a loud noise when you
drop it, and a plastic Homer Simpson, dressed as the Stonecutter' Chosen One. My
desk is a mess, lots of papers scattered all over it, user guides, product specs,
functional specs - the standard detritus.
