alegria e produtividade.
Para o povo de Israel havia esperança de mudança de vida, tanto para o indivíduo
quanto para a nação, pois Deus se dispunha a desviar sua ira contra o pecado
(principalmente idolatria, mas também pecados de natureza social) e fazer coisas
maravilhosas por aqueles que contritamente abandonassem o pecado, confessassem suas
faltas, fizessem restituição e se entregassem a Deus e a seu caminho de salvação. Muitos
dos cânticos em Salmos declaram a realidade do livramento do peso da culpa e da
penalidade do pecado.
